By purchasing this service you are agreeing to a one year contract with Epic Genetics Limited, subject to the 14 day cooling period expiring. Once a test kit has been used the 14 day cooling period no longer applies. 

Test Kit Expiry

Each test kit included with your programme is valid for 12 months from the date it is dispatched. If your sample has not been collected and submitted within this period, the test kit will expire and can no longer be redeemed as part of your program.

This policy allows us to manage inventory, and keep our programs affordable. We appreciate your understanding, as we are unable to extend test validity indefinitely.

In the case of non payment Epic Genetics Limited has the right to withhold services.  After 60 days with no payment Epic Genetics Limited reverses the right to use recovery services to pursue any outstanding amount.

We aim for every customer to have positive experience, so please do get in contact before defaulting to discuss  a potential one month payment holiday.

To avoid charging an upfront deposit, your first test kit will be sent out 10 days after the subscription has started.

📦 Shipping Instructions for Blood Spot Samples

All blood spot card samples must be returned to the TruDiagnostic lab in Kentucky, USA.

USA Customers

A prepaid return envelope is included with your kit.

🌍 International Customers (including UK & EU)

You will receive a return envelope, and the correct lab address will be provided within your test instructions. Return postage must be paid by you.

We recommend using Parcel Hero, as it typically offers convenient local drop-off points. UPS is generally the most reliable courier option.

📄 Shipping & Customs Information

• Clearly label the package as:
  "DNA sample (blood spot)"
• Declare a value of: $20 (replacement cost of the sample kit)
• When printing your shipping label, select portrait format so it fits properly in the label holder

When completing the customs declaration, use:
"DNA sample (blood spot)"
This helps prevent delays or issues at customs.

🖨️ No Printer Option

If you don’t have access to a printer, select the “No Printer” option when booking:

• Collection service → the driver brings the label
• Drop-off service → you receive a QR code to use in-store

⚠️ Important

• Do NOT use DHL or FedEx for international returns. Some countries prohibit shipping human samples (including dried blood spot cards) via DHL.
• Do NOT use Royal Mail for returns. Delivery times can be significantly delayed, often taking 3–4 weeks to arrive at the lab.

💡 Replacement Policy

If your sample kit is lost, a replacement fee of £15 will apply.
